Class for the conditioned participant:
It is recommended that those unsure as to their health status seek a medical clearance to exercise from their general practitioner.
Please note for classes held in the Pool or in Multi Purpose Rooms 1&2 it is required that all participants collect a token from reception and present this token to the class teacher. The token can be collected up to half an hour prior to the class starting time.
Pump Technique
Pump
Build strength, bone density and muscle tone by using light to medium barbells and weights as part of a non-impact pre-choreographed class. A complete body workout of medium intensity and an alternative to traditional weight training with the added motivation of great music and a dynamic instructor. Before attending for the first time, it is recommened that you attend a Pump Technique class, free of charge. Please refer to the timetable for Technique time slots.
Everyone who wishes to participate in a PUMP class should first attend a Pump Technique class to familiarise yourself with the execution of all moves that are performed during the class. You will learn how to squat, lunge, and dead-lift safely along with the technique for all of the upper body tracks.
